Lisa, I love the outfit, it doesn't look dated in the least to me . I have sandals very similar:) The colors are lovely, you look very crisp and put together.

It’s always a treat when you post a WIW photo. I love all the pieces on you, and only here on YLF do we overthink whether a trend is over. The majority of people, judging by what I see in person and on Facebook, wear items way past the time we’re told a trend is over. And i live in the suburbs of a major East coast city.

well, i don't know about all the trends, but IMO this outfit has all the fabulous.... honestly, i don't think this looks trendy or dated, it may not be the most fashion foward, but its very current and of the moment....YLF

I really like this outfit on you. I'm not tremendously into cold shoulder tops (because my shoulders do indeed get cold), but I find that with so many of the voluminous maximalist blouses these days, you can get buried in cloth, and sort of leave yourself behind. Plus you look really good in light blue.

Very fun outfit!!

But, I recognize and own the beads on your trollbeads bracelet (they're not Pandora LOL).

Looks great to me, and i wouldn't call anything dated either. The most important thing is how it feels to you! People on the street aren't judging whether your shoes are from a couple years ago, most of them probably dont notice the dif. They're probably thinking, that lady looks really nice and well put together!

Cheryl - you're right. I couldn't remember the name - and knew Pandora wasn't right either - lol.

You look terrific. If you feel good and happy in it it is on trend- for you!

I love it! It's so chic

Why not embrace the trends you really like when they're available? You look polished and summery.

I am loving the embroidery and the cold shoulders here as I find they soften the vibe of a masculine stripe shirt! Killer gorgeous all together, YLF Lisa!

Thank you all again - this blouse will go down in history as one of my best purchases ever. I fully intend to wear it into the fall with darker bottoms and a navy cashmere wrap. As to the whole trends issue, and what is deemed dated, I wasn't quite articulating that well. As I was carrying on about in my other current thread, I am buying less these days, and finding I don't mind wearing older pieces as much as I used to . Plus some looks (like cropped flares, wrap sandals etc) become my classics - which I kind of like!

I love everything about this outfit and i love my cold shoulder tops too!

I like this boho- lite outfit! The jeans are perfect for grounding and not being over- flowy. The shoes with wrap ties work to “ close the gap “ with crops and the soft color works well for that. If you later pick up the dark embroidery with a sweater and dark wash jeans you can use your darker shoes or booties then.

Super outfit, down to the jewelry! I love the whole look. Fresh, chic, and a little boho.

Fantastic (as always with you, Lisa)! I adore how all these components play together and think your styling has given everything in this ensemble a fresh take: that lace and stripes are so right now, with the stripes echoing the fringe and released hem on your jeans while the shoes pick up the lace. Great mix, and fabulous fit.

Very nice! That top is super cute.

I think this outfit looks fabulous.

WRT the trend thing... sounds like maybe you're starting to feel more comfortable with YOUR style, rather than needing to incorporate current trends to feel good. (I say feel cuz you always look good )

Sometimes you remind me of my very close friend, Pam, who - BTW - is also blonde, warm, and direct, AND she loves a pretty, cold-shouldered top! You two must be my type (LOL).

I really love this outfit on you. To me, it's that great balance of pretty and rough (raw hem) that I find so alluring. And those shoes! I had olive ones like that that I wore into the ground. Finally trashed them this spring, but I would have worn them another summer if they had any life left in them.

Finally, that bracelet grouping is wonderful. The silver/charcoal and ivory look so fresh.
