I have previously been on the "nay" side of straw totes, but I'm looking towards summer and I'm willing to give them another shot as I am still revamping my style.

I would love to get a straw tote that is not too scratchy on the outside and is lined on the inside. Bonus points if it doesn't fall apart after one season. I'm not sure if this is one of those circumstances where price dictates quality. I could see going the inexpensive route just to try it out and see if I like them (risking having it just last one season) or just taking the plunge and getting a higher quality (and higher priced) bag.

Thoughts? Links?

As for taking the plunge, I adore this KS bag (on sale today and tomorrow - http://www.katespade.com/desig.....lt,pd.html

Can someone please talk me off the KS ledge? Even with a more polished daytime look (twill walking shorts, woven tops) that is too dressy, right?
