Straight leg jeans - Dani - YouLookFab Forum

They don't look that much different (to my untrained eye) than the Tahari jeans. The detail says they have a 14" opening. What's the maximum opening to still be considered straight legged? I've seen some others classified as straight leg with a 16" opening.

You poor thing, you don’t need to wait till Monday. I feel bad.

12 to 13 is skinny. 14 inches is definitely straight. Larger sizes get closer to 15 for straight legs. More than that and there’re not straight in my book. My boot cuts are 17 to 18 inches and wides 20. (I wear a 25 or 26 inch pair of jeans). Once again, larger sizes will be a little wider on the leg opening. Hope that helps.

Dani, I have muscular legs, and 14"-15" is "skinny" for me, because I can't even begin to get my legs into 12" skinnies. I can't remember--but do you have the same issue with muscular calves? If so, you might want to opt for the larger size leg openings. I have 15" skinnies, and I love them, very comfortable. My black ones I wear in all my photos are 14" or 15" openings, I think.

Ana, I have muscular legs (my calf is 15 1/2 inches) so I will definitely have to go with straight leg styles. What brand have you had success with, maybe that will give me a better starting point? Do you feel as though they are pulling at your calf when you wear them? I tried on the J Crew matchsticks and they looked terrible. I may just have to forgo this look. We'll see.
