Straight jeans...

Anyone have recommendations for a straight leg jean - or a not-so-tight skinny? I am looking for it as the "skinny" look but skinnies are just too tight looking around my calves in shoes. I feel like I have so many pairs of jeans but nothing is ever quite right!

I love the ones I just bought from Nordstrom this summer (below). I have fairly large calves, and these straight-legs fit me more like skinnies, but with the straight cut at the opening, they will work well with shoes or worn out over booties. I can also tuck them into boots.

I just got these from Zara. They have an 8" rise, a bit of stretch, and even come with a skinny belt (at least the ones in the store did). They felt pretty good to me, close fit on the thighs then straight from the knee down. I have slim calves. The wash is dark enough for me and they have no distressing marks (just whiskering) so I feel I can wear them for casual work days. I have to have mine hemmed though, since I'm not model-tall

The KUT Catherine, sized down, fits me like a straight leg. I'm wearing them in my WIW today if you want to see them on me. Only thing is they are not full length on me - I wear them rolled and will also tuck into boots so it's not a big deal for me. I think some washes come in a 32" inseam. Mine are about 30" inseam.

ETA: I also have some old KUT straight legs that are similar to the ones Firecracker linked above.

I just purchased the AG Stilt and they are a nice cigarette leg that doesn't look like a legging on the calf. I have never tried the KUT brand so can't say how they compare. I got mine at Winners and they are available at The Bay online here in Canada.

What is your primary body type? A few duplicates/second endorsements...

If you are fairly straight-hipped like me, you might like:
JCrew matchstick. I'm on my second pair.
Mossimo jeans from Target--I have the skinny boyfriends.
American Eagle Straight cut jeans. I love these, but they are a low rise.

If you have a bit more curve, but aren't super curvy, you might like:
AG Stilt (these work, but barely, on me--too much waist definition)
Gap Real Straight (I have had these too and like the AGs, they work, but barely).

I wear the gap straights, too, but sized up for relaxed BFs. And these NYDJs are my workhouse skinnies, blessedly free of calf-grabbing.

I've also had luck with the AT curvy skinny, and the Eddie Bauer curvy cut in I think they're called slim straight.

I like 7's Kimmie straights. They are a slim straight fit, not a boyfriend, with a narrow leg opening. I wear them rolled, tucked into boots, and straight with booties, flats, small wedges.
