I know this is a weird question! With skinny jeans, they hug the leg all the way down. With straight fit jeans/ pants that I try on, a lot of times they are very tight around my calf and then kind of straighten out/ flare at the ankle. I think it looks bad when it does this, as if the pant doesn't fit. My instinct is that straight fit should just skim the calf but not hug it tightly?
Here is a visual using Gap's 'real straight' jeans: http://tinyurl.com/ydsqn6o
Edited to add: I think the Gap picture shows to me the ideal fit of these jeans. Just to be clear, these do NOT look like this on me. The calf hugs my leg like a body builder!
But back to the Gap look - See how it skims the calf and then continues on in a straight line? Is that a proper fit or is it okay if these types of jeans and pants hug the calf?
