BJ, I had actually bought this similar blouse: http://www.anntaylor.com/ann/p.....Color=5682 in two sizes and was stopping into the store to return the larger one.

The color is delicious, and if the fabric on your blouse is the same, it's incredibly soft and silky.

good to know about the silkiness factor. this is usually a deal breaker for me. even in natural fabrics i need a slippery hand because i have eczema prone skin and can't afford ANY scratchiness.

April, I tried on the same fisherman's cape/sweater last weekend in AT and had the same reaction. It looked a lot better on the model.

They did have a lot of nice things. I tried on this tweed jacket:

It fit beautifully but I decided it was just a little too corporate for my style.

I love that pomegranate split neck top you linked for us. From the reviews and your experience it sounds like it runs a size large. True?

Nancylee -- yes, the top runs large. I do not usually wear a 0 in tops because a 0 doesn't fit my shoulders, but the 0 was the size I kept. There is no shoulder seam on the blouse, so that makes the fit easier.

I was smitten with many of the bracelets as well, along with this necklace in that mesmerizing pomegranate shade: http://www.anntaylor.com/ann/p.....Color=1481

I had to remind myself sternly that I don't have a job at the moment and therefore have no need for any more pencil skirts or jackets than I already own. (The pomegranate split-neck top was another matter, since it's going to be part of Angie's "Jeans, Blouse, Blazer, and Flats" formula...)
