Karen13, it’s funny how much details matter. In the past I’ve worn brown pants with cream and felt very bland. The texture in the pants & elsewhere and “my colors” next to my face (and maybe the puff) give this outfit an entirely different feeling for me.
Thanks Meredith!
SarahD8, thanks. It took more thought than I’d expected to choose my puff.
Initially, I opened up the purse strap and slid the puff strap over it, so it dangled as if you were dangling the wrist strap from a finger, as in the picture.
What I’ve done about the it, for now anyway: The puff’s short strap has a simple clasp, so I used it to attach the puff to the purse. That means the wrist strap hangs there, still around the purse strap, which is better but still not ideal. (The mixed metals don’t bother me; it’s a puff purse, not high art). Taking the clasp off the wristlet strap means damaging something, which I don’t want to do. I need to get something to perform the job the clasp is doing, and remove the the strap from the scene entirely.
One of these days I’ll see the right caribiner or keychain ring and grab it, but there is too much going on right now for that to be a priority.
Thanks for commenting on this, Aida. I appreciate your willingness to give critique and advice.
Am I wearing light color on my feet? By golly, I am. Would you look at that! I bet that’s the reason I thought these were so amazing when I got them last spring. In this outfit, I was worried about heels + skinnies, but once I was dressed, it was fine. I think the high contrast makes my legs look shorter, but the heels cancel that out.
