I dunno. I like it more than I've ever liked red lipstick on me before, but I need outside opinions!

I need to get my teeth whitened.

Yay - get it!
Nay - stick with the softer more natural colors

I agree with Emily, the colour is lovely, your cupids bow is wonderfully defined and your eye colour is emphasised. I would be heading for the tills.

Hey, me too! Just yesterday I grabbed a brick lipstain. I think this is great with your darker coloring. Looks a tad more berry to me, as well, but no matter - looks great!

Yeah, I think you're right -- it's a more bluish red, so it does have a more berry quality. It actually picks up the color in my hair quite well. I just keep getting a bit of a jolt when I see myself in a mirror.

I know, I know, I'm not fun. I think a shade that does not make you want to get your teeth whitened would be a better choice. Just sayin'

I agree that the color looks soft, pretty and natural on you and nothing like a bright red (in a good way, of course). I'm also sporting plum lipstick today. I never wear lipstick. I like it, though. Good job, J!

Oh and personally I desperately need a teeth whitening myself (lots of coffee will do that to you), and I wonder if any shade of lipstick would make any difference there. Your mileage may vary.

I really love it, but then again, I really love red lipstick. If you have any doubts, can I suggest another? Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita is unbelievable. It is impossibly a nude red. I swear, it both looks natural and red, all at the same time. I have three, one for my drawer at work, one for my purse, and one for my makeup drawer at home.

I really like it on you. I think it's your lovely hair color that helps you pull it off. And at least on my monitor, it does look more berry. I'm jealous. Every time I try to wear red lipstick, I startle myself.

k can shop: I have the NARS Dolce Vita lip pencil and love it! It doesn't appear that red on me though, probably because my lips are already highly pigmented, but it definitely gives me a "your lips but better" look.

LOVE!! But then I'm a bit bias when it comes to red lips. Berry/blue reds look better with your skin tone and hair color.

Janet, I liked it on you but didn't love it. Sorry DH didn't like it. Why not try the one K Can Shop recommends, sounds like colour with a more natural result.

I can relate and sympathize. I think you can pull it off because you have the fab dark hair and eyes and bright, dramatic features, but you might look more more... subtle, chic, with a nude-er lip. So it's kinda 2 different looks.

I still wear some of my darker/redder lipsticks from time to time and one minute I'll like it, thinking it adds color and definition and I can handle it with brown eyes and hair, and the next is, oh, go softer. However, I'm a lot older than you and at more risk of looking too harsh.

You have very large eyes, which I think successfully balance a red lip--- I have really full lips but smaller eyes and sometimes I can end up looking like a filler accident when I wear red lipstick if not heavily made up to balance it out.
