Hi, I recently discovered your site and love it. I've been thinking about starting my own styling business for the past year but a little worried about taking the plunge. I am an attorney by training but fashion is what I love and I'm passionate about. I was curious about how you started your own business and would appreciate any pointers you might have.

Rulla, you might want to send angie an private message rather than post on the forum...unless you are looking for feedback from the forum?

My advice is, make sure when you start a new venture that if it fails it won't ruin you. This is the advice I got when I talked to Michel Brotman, who owns several retails shops in Seattle and whose brother started Costco.
