I wore a pair of suede black OTK boots underneath a long, light-colored skirt last night. When I took the skirt off, I saw that there was a lot of discoloration along the inner hem and a couple of inches above, from where the dye of the boots had worn off onto the skirt. Since the skirt is light colored, you can see a bit of dinginess even from the outside. Any suggestions for getting the stain off? I tried a stain stick before regular machine washing, but that didn't do anything. I tried putting on an Oxyclean paste, and that didn't seem to do much--but I didn't let it sit all that long. I also tried putting on some dish soap, which helped a tiny bit but not much.
