(I was actually envisioning getting to the store and getting a hard time from them. I may be over-cynical.)

So they were having their Veteran's Day sale and I dove into the racks and quickly came up with this rain gear. I really need a jacket like this for utility, and also I happen to think it's very cool. Whether it's good for me, who knows...it's surely meant for a taller woman, and the waist sits low, but I'll try to tweak that with the drawstrings, etc. The arms are probably meant to be three-quarter sleeves. But I didn't care. I like it and wanted to get the hell out of there, if you know what I mean. So $90 for a Karen Millen jacket that looks to be in excellent condition. Hopefully it won't fall apart this time (I wore it today already--so far so good!). Maybe I can make it seem like it's this intentional oversized, 80's trend going on.

I had a balance left over, so I also bought a big, square silk scarf (not pictured), the kind French ladies wear with panache (though obviously a very much downscale version). I just wanted to play around with it and it's kind of an ironic thing for me, styling a chic scarf with a nautical theme, LOL. So NOT me that I felt like I wanted to go for it just for fun. Like Angie's recent list of trends--going outside your comfort zone! I will need to find a scarf ring before I can test out all the different knots.

So I had fun and am happy, regardless of whether this is a great fit or not. I am still on the fence as to whether I would go back there. As a shopper. After reading lots of reviews on yelp, I would NOT consign there.

Thanks for looking! And for letting me rant.

(ETA: If you're there, Hi, Angie! Hope your arm gets better right away! Take it easy!)
