St. Patty's Wk Challenge

St. Patrick's day is next Sunday, and every year I try to challenge myself from the week before to wear green so I don't default to my usual gray/black. Will you join me?

Any type of green is fine, and of course you don't have to wear green from head to toe! Please post on your own separate thread so it doesn't get lost; we want to enjoy what you have chosen.

P.S. Who else has three pairs of green tights (that she doesn't wear), four if you count the fluorescent ones?

Would love to see how you wear the fluorescent ones! I have very few green items but want to add more. It would be fun to try the challenge, though, using what I've got. Others' greens will no doubt inspire me!

I love green but don't have very much of it. I'm going to try at least a couple of days next week. Sounds fun!

I have very little green too, especially for a cold week with midweek 7" of snow storm, but will try for 2 or 3 days. I would like more green, but most I see that I could use is too blue undertoned.

What a fun idea. I have a few green toppers that I can wear this week. Today, I'm wearing a green cardigan. Looking forward to seeing those green tights.

I just remembered I have a fluorescent green tank top and a sleeveless forest green blouse. I bought them before I recognized how truly cold I run. I should see if I can layer over and layer under sufficiently to make them work.

I’m in, at least in spirit. If I can find a reason to actually wear something other than ski gear and snow boots .... I love green and have added a few pieces this past year as it has been a bit more available.

I just saw this, and, I have a lot of green in my wardrobe including a mint green J Crew stadium cloth coat. It’s supposed to be in the mid 40’s F today, so maybe it would work.....now I need to come up with the rest of my outfit!

I demoted my one green top to loungewear. Reading about the challenge earlier this week (I missed this post until now but it was easy to figure out) I realized that the top I was wearing had green in it. But I didn’t look put together so no photo. But here’s the odd part-I have a fair amount of green jewelry. Off the top of my head 2 necklaces, 2 rings, 2 bracelets and many pairs of earrings. No wonder they don’t get much wear. I think it is because I like semi-precious green or green and blue stones. Just realizing that I could perhaps try the challenge with jewelry. Depends on what else I want to wear.

DH gave me a grass green sweater for Valentine's Day. The fit of it makes me look dumpy, but he's so happy when I wear that I wear it anyway.

I don't usually dress for St. Patrick's Day but this year I have something to wear.

ChristelJ: I think I wore my fluorescent tights on Tuesday or possibly Wednesday. It was the day I wore my white jeans skirt. I don't like a big contrast on my legs, so when I wear a light skirt, the fluorescent tights are about the only thing that tones in.

Kellygirl, JAileen, and Joy: It's a Challenge because it's a challenge if one doesn't own a lot of green! Or else the green one owns is for a different temperature than the one that shows up!

Barbara Diane: Green jewelry sounds fab! Wish I had some. But I have some wintery scarves with green, so I guess there's that.

April: Sounds like DH doesn't think you look dumpy in that sweater. Glad there's St. Patrick's day every year as an occasion to make him happy. But it is difficult, isn't it when a spouse gifts one with something that isn't quite right. My DD keeps doing that.
