You've seen Greg's fantastic photos of your favorite fabbers, so here is what we imbibed and noshed on.

Signature cocktail was a Gin + Ginger from a suitably fabulous but now defunct local vegan restaurant. See pics below for recipe. MsMary now insists that all of her cocktails have lavender flowers floating on top!

Our own Annagybe provided a selection of lovely red wines and a white, while Firecracker kept our dairy desires sated with a huge cheese tray.

It was utterly fabulous!!!! And Greg wanted to go back for more bacon wrapped dates as we were leaving (btw I did not realized there were dates there - but they tasted amazing as everything else).

I can vouch for Dash's (and Steve's) hospitality and warmth. And for the bacon wrapped dates which are crack-like. Note to self, do not stand so close to the canapes table next time.

dashielle - What a lovely menu and I saw some of Greg's photos. You have an exquisite home and you entertain so beautifully. It's a lost art. I grew up with formal entertaining and I still aspire to create that formal elegant but totally relaxed and welcoming environment which makes people feel pampered and special. Also no one around me throws formal cocktail parties any more, which is such a shame. Glad to see this very special type of entertaining is alive and well by you!! Your menu choice was fabulous and beautiful and what a gorgeous idea for a speciality cocktail, just lovely. I love epicurious too!! Yum yum. You know what, I have everything to make this cocktail except for the lavender flowers in my house right now. I think it would work with ginger syrup or even plain syrup though!

Sooo fun, thanks for posting these pics and linking to the recipes, Ann. The lavender was such a brilliant touch, and the napkins were fantastic. All the food was absolutely scrumptious (Sveta and I also very much enjoyed the beautiful cheese selection), and everything was presented so beautifully. You and Steve are cocktail party throwers extraordinaire!-)

I think I am going to ask my landscape guy for a lavender bush so I will always be prepared to make those awesome cocktails...

back to suggest perhaps subbing rose water or pomegranate syrup for the lavender syrup...tho not as unique.

Yay thanks for sharing the yummy recipes with us! I loved the drink display on the table, with the framed photo recipe and gin and lavender. And those bacon/date/gorgonzola bites were ridiculously tasty. I got told I was blocking them more than once while standing nearby

Thanx for sharing these yummy treats. My DD celebrates her 17.th Birtday on this weekend with her pals, and perhaps will make some salmon wasabi tea sandwiches for them. Do you have a pictie of the trays?
