I'm finally getting down to some summer planning (while waiting for more snow!), but I think my wardrobe is in pretty good shape. Photo 1 shows my warm weather capsule as it stands. I'm pretty covered for essentials, and even have many of Angie's predicted trends represented.
What I'm most worried about is just getting/being bored. To that end, I'd like to add:
1. A fun color. Eileen Fisher has added the earthy russet shown in the Finds below, and a few other brands that work for me have some similar tones. I like this color a lot and think it would mix well with my wardrobe, but I won't know for sure until I try them.
2. Another floral piece. I've added a lot of florals to my transitional capsule, but besides the Anthropologie kimono in the photo, I don't really have any for high summer. Nothing I've seen so far has really inspired me, so I'll keep looking. Do y'all think we'll see some more sleeveless florals as the season progresses?
3. Wide-leg crops. If I'm being honest, I'm pretty bored of boyfriend jeans as a summer staple. Dresses and skirts are going to be important for me this year, but I'd really like to add a pair of wide-leg crops. I LOVE the look and colors of the two Madewell pairs in the Finds, but I'm sized out. Does anyone have any suggestions of where else to look?
I'm sure more will come up as the season progresses. I have a few essentials that will need replacing, and I have room for another statement or two, depending on what works and doesn't from above. It's nice to have my wardrobe in a state that I don't NEED a huge refresh, but I'm also already a little bored with what I have and think a few key pieces will go a long way towards spicing things up.
