I can't remember where I saw this, What Not To Wear, or Maybe Tim Gunn, talking about the square toed chunky heeled shoes women loved to wear (me included) and practically despairing about it. And then whoever watched Friends and saw Rachel wearing the same shoes, and suddenly figured out why women liked wearing what he considered to be ugly shoes.
Last fall my husband and I were going to some event and I was going to wear my square toed chunky heeled shoes and my husband who I thought didn't know anything about fashion questioned my shoe choice!! I ended up buying a couple pairs of new shoes with pointier toes and slimmer heels.
To be honest, that's why I'm here. My casual shoe of choice is a clog. Unless it's cold, than it's boots.
