Square or almond toe booties

Which toe shape is better... Square or almond shape. Everything on the bootie is the same re heel height stitching etc. I favour the almond as the square feels a bit dated but its quite comfortable. I will need to really walk in these babies...

I like the square because it reminds me of my beloved Frye 12R Harness boots. But if the consensus is that the square is dated, don't do it!

I don't wear square toed shoes - I find that they usually make my foot look wider. So with that disclosure out of the way, I think the almond ones look more classic & the square toe a little more rugged imo.

I say pick the ones that work with the clothing you will be wearing them with, after comfort of course.

Is this for the travel capsule, Jen? If so, I say almond toe. Unless they are considerably less comfortable for you, that is. The reason I say almond toe is I think they would look a little nicer with skirts/ dresses as well as trousers (if you are wearing with both).

If these are ones that you'll be walking miles in while traveling I would decide on the basis of comfort above all else.
I don't think they look different enough that it really matters, but any difference in comfort that you feel now is likely to be magnified several times after a day on your feet.

Oh --- I've been thinking about just this recently. Several of my boots are square toed, and they are really comfy, but I've wondered if they're a little dated. They're certainly everywhere in the stores, but so are horrible crop pants!

FWIW I prefer the square shape on my large, widish foot. I actually think my foot looks smaller than with almond toes.

They both look fine to me, but if these are for your 3 month trip you must pick the most comfortable ones.

Whichever is more comfortable for you. The square seems more subtle than the oldstyle square. It's a squared oval (much like the shape of a real foot)

I prefer almond toes as I think they are more dressy, ladylike and refined. I like square toes, particularly on rugged boots like Fryes.

I like and wear both, but I do think the almond toe here is more sleek and versatile. Its also more leg lengthening IMHO.
