Abby's description of a square knot following today's post was wonderfully precise and reminded me how little I know about knots. (I once evaluated a college student who was taking a class in "Knot Math" and I broke into a cold sweat when I heard that that was even a thing.)

I tried Angie's "use it as a base for a bow" and ended up with a hot mess, whether I used a stiff ribbon or a flimsy, floppy one. Anyone have a thought on what kind of fabric might work here?

Also, Abby - when you say "four ends", do you mean the sides of the knot? The corners of the knot?
