Spring shopping - what's on your list?

There are a few things on my 'must buy' list for spring/summer:

1. Brown wedge sandals
2. Brown belt
3. Lightweight, colourful blouses
4. A pair of black pants that fit me properly (I've been indenial about the fit of my current pair)

And thanks to Angie's latest blog posts, slingbacks. But not in black leather. Almost every shoe I own is black. It's time to branch out.

Edited to add that I'm also going to make more of an effort to shop at a couple of local fashion consignments stores.

That sounds like a good plan !! I would also like a pair of nude shoes. Maybe peep-toe. I LOVE sling backs, but they don't fit me well so the "sling" is always falling and I end up with a slipper/mule. It's funny, I can't really plan too far in advance because what I put on my list is usually something that I have reached for, at the time, and realize I don't have it. If it happens more than 2 times, it goes on a list.

I am also going to need a pair of white capris or maybe semi-wide leg, white jeans.

I love your list -- this is my first season really making one. So far I have:

turquoise sandals (just ordered some; hope they fit)
another pair of comfort sandals (also on the way)
engineer striped shorts (i will make these if I have to)
red cardigan (first try also on the way)
red pumps
bright, lightweight outer layers for spring/summer mornings and nights

Here is mine:
1. wide leg jeans in white and / or pale blue
2. white denim jacket
3. cream leather moto jacket
4. heeled clogs and/or pumps to wear with wide leg pants (color, nude, metallic, animal print or bright brown)
5. wedge sandals to wear with wide leg pants
6. summer blouses for wide legs
7. summer tunics for skinnies
8. dresses

I'd love to pick up a pair of tan/nude heeled cage-style sandals, some wide/flared jeans in a light wash, and some sun dresses! I'm also debating giving a breezy blouse a try.

A flowy, gauzey peasant style top, lap swimsuit, wide brimmed sun hat, and red lariat necklace are on the list. No wide legs - pant season is almost over as it is! A light breezey dress might be nice to add to the collection as well . . .

I can't get anything until I lose the last 8-9 lbs, but once I do:

bras! asap
summer dresses
tops that actually fit, mostly button down
couple of layering tees
jeans, boot cut for boots and flats
turquoise sandals
cropped denim jacket

My list goes way beyond this, but these are my priorities.

Nothing as of yet! First off, I can't think that far ahead. Second, I have to cull through what I have already for spring and summer - I haven't even gotten through winter yet, sadly. I am eagerly reading all of your lists to see what holes I have in my meager summer wardrobe...

Mine:
Light wash flare jeans
White denim jacket (maybe) FWIW, ON has a cropped version that is quite cute and stretchy. The small is 20" long--petite is 18". The fabric is substantial but stretchy (for those of your with shoulder issues.) Very reasonably priced--worth a look.
Clogs ( maybe)
Replace white short sleeve and sleeveless layering tees.

I am craving a couple of things already:
A maxi dress (I like this style, but the colors are all wrong for me)
Spring boots (high five, QM)
cutout booties - I saw these Naya ones in the store and love the victorian vibe

I also just bought a pair of black sandal booties and an ivory jersey dress, both of which I think I can transition into Spring with...the shoes need a keep/return post because they're a bit odd looking on my foot and also a little too high heeled (but a ball-of-foot pad could mitigate the issue if they are keepers)

Hmm . . . I will have to revisit this a bit later because I am still l have to deal with at least 3 more months of winter/cold weather. I actually hate "spring" here because it warms up and the snow melts, but nothing seems to grow because it is still freezing so hard at night-- so it is brown, dingy, muddy, and grey. I used to live somewhere with crocuses! In the meantime I have to do a serious evaluation of my spring/summer wardrobe.

I will probably need to purchase a few pieces for a smart casual outfit for conducting interviews for two classes I am taking pertaining to my thesis.

I know for sure that I will need to buy something to wear to my public thesis reception/defense.

I also am pretty sure I will need to buy something to wear under a cap and gown if I decide to walk again (wasn't planning on it, since the circumstances are odd, but a family member suggested I might so relatives that couldn't travel the long distance to see me graduate with my BA could attend -- like my grandma!).

True Spring/summer here starts in May, and depending on how the internship situation turns out, I could need to buy an entire business casual wardrobe or I may be camping through July!

Then in August I will be interviewing for jobs again! and that will determine my needs again.

Also, I need to buy bras and undies and a new lap suit ASAP!

Wants are totally different, but I feel like I shouldn't be looking until I know more about what my situation will be.

Summer is nearly over here so we will have autumn. I want another pair of dark bootcut jeans that I dress up for smart casual. I want a black corset I can wear over my white blouses and a pair of lace up black boots. I also want to get more scarves and beads to add a mix to my outfits.
