Since my online shopping haul was largely a bust I stopped by a local boutique this afternoon to check out their spring collection. I know they carry fast fashion and the quality is hit&miss, but the styles are usually quite right for me. And I do want to support local businesses...
Anyway I left with FOUR new pieces... a basic style of mom jeans that I felt had much more workhorse potential than the others pairs I'd tried, a lacy white tee (elevated basic for the win!), a fluffy white cardigan that's so cosy I want to wear it right away and a navy velvet hoodie (loungewear replacement). The pieces may not seem very exciting but I actually want to wear them when it warms up a bit and feel they update my wardrobe for this year's spring.
Funny how much easier it is to assess if something will work for you in-store versus online.
Feel free to leave your thoughts and comments but this one is no keep/return ;).
