I'm sorry for being scarce lately... I was working some crazy hours on a big project that is finally finished! I couldn't resist coming out of hibernation for this challenge, though.
My first challenge choice was Acrobat. I loved the super simple color scheme, and it helped that I had things on hand to match. I also kind of liked that my hair is white, and I wore white shoes, so I thought that it played into the effect that the painting has of every part of the body being white. I purposefully chose to wear no jewelry or accessories of any kind (except my wedding band) to keep with the stark two dimensional quality of the look. I also had fun cropping and piecing together some of my photos to create a two tone abstract quality that I feel the painting has. This is also how I see my outfit in my head... which I think goes hand in hand with Picasso's way of translating onto canvas, not what the eye sees exactly, but how he specifically wanted to portray the subject.
Also... You'll have to forgive my unwillingness to do the actual pose from the painting. I am only willing to go so far for the sake of art!
