Spring jeans update - YouLookFab Forum

I’m updating my jeans/casual pants for spring/summer. Looking for different cuts and pattern/color/details as I have plenty of straight denim options. Here are the latest candidates. Love any feedback.

1-2 Paige Transcends. Love the detail. Not sure they are hitting at the right length? But can they be shortened and still have the front slit work? Most expensive of the lot, so I want to be sure before keeping.
3 Boden Cambridge ankle skimmers. I like the stripe for spring/summer. Length?
4. Kut from the Kloth. LOVE. Definitely keeping.
5. Pilcro girlfriend embroidered. Fit well, but the embroidery seems dated to me...?
6-7 Peruvian Connection. Not denim, but the green would replace a pair of jeans in the same color, and the brown is a good different neutral.

Without reading your comments first I liked 1,2,4 and 5 best .l think that the slight flare of the leg is flattering.Are they all comfy when you sit down in them?Thats my key test for jeans!

My first pick is the same as yours - Kut from the Cloth!

My second pick is the green or brown Pilcro.

I am not sure about the length on the first pair either. I would prefer them longer and without the slit.

They all fit well to my eye do great to have some options!

the Kut are clear keepers...i want to like the split hems in #1/2, but i'm kind of thinking these either need to be longer or shorter. i like the fit of the embroidered pair, but if you're not feeling the embroidery, then i'd pass (this is just my experience, but i never feel this kind of jean more than 1 season, but YMMV). i like the green and brown pairs,does the lenght and the ankle detail work work with your current footwear?

#1/2, #4, and #5. I would like to see the first pair with the footwear you plan to wear. #5 is flattering and such a pretty colour. Sorry, but #6+#7 look a little short through the rise IYKWIM.

Hi Gretchen - I quite like the first pair, but wonder if they shouldn't be longer (not shorter). Hard to tell without seeing them worn with a sandal or sneaker or whatever you intend to wear with them. I'm with kkards on the embroidered pair - good fit and great wash, but I'm ambivalent about embroidery unless it's a real statement maker (like the sequinned ones Pilcro did a year or two ago for Anthro). You don't strike me as the floral embroidery sort

The KUT jeans are my favorite on you. The green and brown will be good with spring colors like peach and pale blue and in the fall with earth tones.
I like the length of the Boden ankle skimmers and the stripes. Something about the Paige Transcends seems off. Try styling them and try them on with footwear to evaluate the slit. I suspect that you will not need to shorten them or very little. The Pilcro, well this is the time of DYOT. If you like them, wear them and enjoy. If you feel dated, pass on them.

The KUT jeans in pic#4 is the best fit/cut.
I like #1-2 but imagine it with mid-calf boots only. It needs to be tried with different shoe options to make the decision of shortening ( maybe not at all ?..).

Honestly they all look good on you. 1/2/4/5 do stand out as my favorites on how they look. We’re you wearing a belt with any, the pants and jeans would look just as good with a top semi or fully tucked and jeans belted especially 1/2, 5.

The Kuts are keepers for sure. I think the first ones need to be longer but as others have said, it might help to see with footwear. I really like the fit/ style of the embroidered ones but maybe not the embroidery.

#2 - Boden stripes are a great length. Try one small cuff.

#4 and #5 are fabulous! The embroidery is not dated. You simply have to love it.

lisaflex It seems like i go back and forth on Kut. Either I love them, or they are absolutely terrible. These definitely are in the love category!

lisa p, kkards I was a huge fan of embroidered everything a few years ago - still have and wear my loud Boden booties. But this particular design just isn't working for me. I think I'll look for a similar style (which I love) without the design.

Thank you for all the love on the Kuts. I've pulled tags and wore for the first time this week. Suspect they'll be work horses.

I have more jeans on the way...tis the season. Will post other potentials and maybe an outfit lab on the Paige's before making the final call. Thank you!
