So per Angie footwear is more refined. I have also noticed a lot of sandal boots, so the pair I bought two years ago is still relevant. Yay! I've also seen a fair amount of open and peep toe booties.

But I'm wondering what I should be looking for in the coming months. Nordstrom's in store offerings right now aren't very tempting.

Eh. I am wondering this, too. We all already know about oxfords... I would still love a leather version of these, but I'm not holding my breath. I guess it's hard for me to get too excited since I'm on Team Chunky Shoes.

I've ordered a pair of oxfords and a pair of loafers, so I think I'm good. I would like to add a pair Con's too, as I only have one pair. Sandal booties look interesting, but I'm not too sure about wearing those myself. I think both of you would suit that style really well, Rae and Anna.

I am hoping for some sandal booties as well - the Jeffrey Campbell ones didn't work for me, but I'm keeping my eyes open.

I've seen a lot of lucite heels, but need to pass since I can't wear heels If a cool pair of flatforms comes along, I'm on it.

In the meantime, I'm going old school and am on the lookout for a pair of Frye Carson shorties for spring/summer. These short boots have been on my mind for years so I might as well give in...

Lucite, hmmm, well I just got my Tabi lucite heel booties. I also have from last year nude pointy toe d'Orsay with a neon ankle strap flats from LD Tuttle. Maybe I'm more set than I realize.

well, you already know what i'm lusting for.

on a more prosaic level...white sandals. i have the valentino studded gladiator sandals in #1, which i see less often on the blogosphere. lusting after the gaultiers in #2. the paul and joes in #3 are also in my cart.

on the loafer-ish end, i have my eye on the deux soliers in #3 and the fratelli rosettis that someone seems to be buying as we speak!

I have not been enamoured of much in the shoe departments lately either, Anna.

I am set for boots and booties for quite a while, and I'm not even thinking about sandals yet, although I suspect a bunch will get purged when I do my seasonal rotation in April. For early spring, I'll be sticking with my booties and oxfords, and I'll break out some pointy-toe flats I'm glad I didn't purge, since pointed toes are returning.

I just ordered a pair of mushroom coloured oxfords yesterday. Can't wait to get them in the mail. I was inspired by Ingunn's Redbook interpretation post when I saw how she paired oxfords with skirts.
I think I prefer flats for casual wear, though. I would love to do booties but I'm a mere 5 feet 2 inches and they don't flatter my legs at all. I really like the peep toe flats that bj1111 posted. They're sort of a sandal/flat hybrid.
So many choices out there!

I'm loving both of these - Sperry Top Sider Kent boot and Nina Originals Diandra. They seem completely opposite in style, but I suppose the brogue detailing is similar on both of them, and that's probably why I'm attracted to them. The pump would fit into my work wardrobe but the boot suits my weekend going to kids' baseball and football games lifestyle. Now that I've justified them both, I just need some funding for them...

Gear sandals (for running around with my dogs) and perfrated booties. I almost broke my leg sliding out of the pretty snakeskin ones I bought last year so I'm all about performance this time around.

I've always been on Team Refined Footwear, so I'm pretty set overall. The only shoe I am really (REALLY REALLY!) wanting is a pair of bright optic white pointy pumps, but the shorter, very pointy toe, not the long softer type. 3" ideally. Haven't started looking yet, so I have my fingers crossed. Would also like to find some silver pointy skimmer oxfords (similar to the Tildon's Angie posted but I need real leather), but not super high priority there. And a white Chelsea type boot with a very refined flat heel along with some floral pointy flats are also on the list as a "would be nice to have". No sandals for me if I can help it, we just don't get enough weather for it and I'm on Team Closed Toe Shoes.

Spring is still a long way off here. We have giant piles of snow that I cannot wait to see the last of. These are a few pairs I've procured in anticipation. #1 Valentino rock stud pointy flats with ankle straps. #2 Valentino Rockstud loafers. #3 Acne Pistol boots #4 Tibi peep toe booties with ankle straps. Ugh, I love shoes...

I am looking for a flat oxford in muted silver/pewter, the right pointy toed flat (which mean very supportive and comfy) and low leopard wedges with ankle straps. I am basically focusing on lab shoes where we can not wear open toes. I might add some sleek high wedge sandals for going out.

I must do a shoe inventory before I even think about adding to the collection. Oh wait I have a cart full of metallic shoes. I really want the J Crew ones (#1), but they almost fall into the territory of the thing I've been seeing so much of in magazines - the 60's style chunky low heeled pumps (and not mentioned here yet). These have me stumped as to how I would not look dowdy on my size 10 foot.

Argh!! BJ. LOVE those ones you linked to, but I have a narrow heel, too. So they would not stay on me, either. I will not order - thank you for your review. But I am sad.

I still have no idea about spring footwear -- spring still seems so far away here. Argh.

I am hoping maybe I will buy something when in London.
