Spring 2015: Black and White

So I went and studied Angie's Spring 2015 Pinboard, to try and, you know, develop some thoughts for spring. I'm thinking Black and White is *it* for this year. That's what stood out to me and captured my imagination.

Either that, or this is Angie's continuing conspiracy to get white into my closet

Actually, retail has opened Spring 2015 - collections are in stores earlier this year - with tomato red, citron and light blue. My colours. Thank you very much. xo

I have to admit that I have already been looking at white. I purchased white hand bags. I pulled the trigger for some Paige Denim white flare pants. I am also attracted to some white shirt dresses. (Totally impractical!) I can't get myself to wear black at all anymore. The other colors I like- sky blue and pale yellow/citron. I love those colors.

I'm looking forward to see what you decide to do. Other than the start of a color palette and the flare pants, I have no sense of what I will be purchasing yet.

I like white and black, though not usually together. Many of the other colors aren't me. But I did see some intense persimmon orange, and also some beautiful nude neutrals--and those I looooooove

I'm glad to see plenty of fluid fits. And some of the pretty more retro ladylike styles. Those are favorites for me.

No. 21 is a design house I had never seen before. They caught my eye, along with Chloe and a couple others.

I'm definitely into the light blue, especially paired with toffee and other earth tones - like from last spring.

A lot of new-to-me designers on Angie's pinboard... which is exciting and fun. New blood!

Bring on the black and white! I'm glad light blue is in there too as I'm looking forward to bringing out my pastel blue blazer again. Might need to add more citron as I'm slowly but surely falling in love with that color.

I'm feeling the black and white right now, I am. I went back to look again. The pieces that are complex look really good to me in the black and white; you get to have a good, undistracted look at the architecture of items.

Orange, I'm not feeling so much. I saw some orange in the 2015 collections. But I've gone off orange and given away my orange silky shirt dress. If it had been a less brutal orange... Anyways, no, not this year. Hehe.

The dusky, Ophelia teals did get my attention. Dries van Noten's whole watery woodland creek thing was totally off in its own direction. Teal is nice with orange actually...

We rarely get spring either. It's hard to remember that when shopping in January.
Rachylou, year after year I see lots of navy come out in stores after the holidays. Maybe it is thoughts of nautical looks for tropical vacations or because it is softer with pastels for spring than black. I also think of it as a spring neutral.
