Haha, I was browsing through my Yahoo Notepad notes and saw I'd made a list of my likes for Spring 2014. Must have done that at the time of the fashion shows.
Do y'all remember what you thought last year about now? (Does that make any sense?)
My list last year for Spring (& Summer) 2014:
- Soft folds
- 'Roomier' pants*
- Valentino Art Nouveau/Arts & Crafts/Tribal
- Midi skirts**
- Cocoon coat
- Blanket coat
- Bomber (floral)***
- Culottes**
- Waistcoat/Skirt/Knee-pant Coordinates**
- Two-piece dresses**
- Braids
- Pointy shoes
- Rounded-point knee-hi boots*
- D'Orsay flats
- Pine green
- Lilac**
- Blush
- Mint
- Circus stripe
- Black large check, gingham***
- Earthy offsets***
I wish I'd added something in terms of how I'd have worn all theses things - e.g., "ladylike," "milkmaid," etc. Lol.
Anyways, interesting to note what I've gone-off (marked by *). Not so interested in the knee-hi boots and have amped up on the skinnies actually - no "roomy pants" for me.
Also interesting to note what I've had no luck finding (marked by **). In particular - midi skirts. I see lots of maxis, no midis.
And then there are the things I've forgotten to look for (***). Question is, should I bother now?
AND what I missed listing: baby blue - should have done it(!)
Last but not least, I don't remember looking at the Valentino collection until a few weeks ago... but apparently I must have and liked it back then too.
Now the question is, do I want to keep on this path for Summer, really? I feel a need re-evaluate silhouettes and shapes...
