So today it was 70+ degrees here; we seem to have left winter well behind. Fingers crossed we'll get some more rainy days but spring is springing out all over. I just put up my heavier sweaters, cords, and flannel PJs, and replaced them with short-sleeve tees (worn with toppers for now). Next will go the boots, although I might get few more weeks in with them.
I have some sweater-knit dresses that are perfect for that in-between weather that I always forget to wear until it's too late. I've pulled them out and put them in the front of my closet.
I am excited for all the 'rose quartz' that is in stores; hope to pick up a top or two as it's one of my favorite colors. Other than that I don't need much. The two pairs of 'mom jeans' I recently got from ON are quickly becoming favorites. I really like the girlfriend jean trend - looser is nice for a change but it's not so baggy that those of us less svelte can't wear it at all. I do want some more updated flats - smoking slippers or one of the lace-up/ghillie flats that are trending. All of my pointy-toed ballet flats are still in good shape, but they just don't look as current anymore, especially with a cuffed jean.
I really like the looks of all the button-front shirts that are coming back in. Everything is a bit looser and drapier, not a lot of details, very menswear but in a casual weekend, hipster/Garden & Gun sort of way, not a suit and tie sort of way. I've always loved button-ups and kept most of mine even when I didn't wear them a lot. I've recently learned about Tradlands (new company that does made in the USA shirts for women) and I'm totally saving up my pennies for one when they come out with their spring collection.
What are you looking forward to wearing for spring? Looking for any items in particular to buy?
