I was in a mood to treat myself to some kind of a reward for getting my grant and ended up ordering these. They are quite pricey, and I will probably change my mind at least 10 times till they get here (and once they are here too) about keeping them. I guess I will see how many outfits I can make with them, comfy they are etc.
For me for something to be a reward it has to be something I really wanted but wasn't planning on getting. When I defended my PhD a couple of years ago I got a Mackage coat that I have worn probably at least 200 times in the past 4 years. But that was a coat and these are sneakers... And I do not do such expensive rewards unless it is a really big occasion. And they are not really a part of my budget either.
Anyway, sorry for rambling - I just got home after a 20-h day yesterday in the lab (much shorter one today) and I feel a bit weird, have this strange nervous energy and can't sleep yet, so decided to spend some time here.
