In optimistic anticipation of cooler weather, I decided to pull out all of my jeans and try them on. A couple of pairs had gone in the donate pile, which is good, but I have a question now.
I love the look of the split hem trend, and I DIYed this old pair of Kuts (I think they’re 8 years old??) to release the hem and split the sides, thinking it might make them a bit more current and wearable — I hadn’t really worn them in years as the straight leg style they were.
Trying them on now with a low-heeled pair of boots (the way I’d be most likely to wear them), I wonder if this length looks ok, or do they look too short? I’m really sensitive to too-short jeans since I’ve lived a lifetime of avoiding the “flood” look.
I’m also including a photo of some COH straight legs I also did a DIY split hem on. I’m thinking the split needs to be higher, but again, what about the length?
What is PPL when it comes to these new hem styles?
