Hi Ladies,

If I can work out sizing, I would like to buy this jacket, particularly at the now incredibly low sales price as I will then have to pay for postage to Australia.

I wondered if I could impose upon you for some help?

1.
I know it runs big, and I am an Australian 10/12 in jackets with stretch fabrics usually a 10 (which I think is a 14 US) - but I just have no real idea. Does anyone out there have a good grasp of the Aussie v US sizing and could advise me? I did look at the size chart and based on that I would order the 14 but I really don't want it to be too big, it must fit my shoulders, so maybe a 12?

And

2.
If I can work out sizing confidently, I wonder if one of you lovely ladies would be happy for me to have it delivered to you in the US and then have you send it on to me...pls. Obviously I would pay you the postage...maybe via PayPal?

I'm going to do some investigation re postage costs now.

Deborah I am a regular 12 in Australia and wear size 10 US tops and 8US for pants- and believe me, I am pretty beamy. So our sizes are much bigger! You need to get the measurements,that would be best.
Thereare companies that will freight stuff to you via a US address. I'll just go now and check out what they're called.

OK, there's one site called myus.com and another called shipitto.com. They are package forwarding companies; I would love to know if anyone on the forum has used them.

I just ordered a 14 for myself yesterday. When it arrives I will let you know what the fit is like. If it doesn't work for me I would be happy to send it your way. Based on your wiw, I think I'm bigger than you, so if it works on me, I think it would swim on you.

Ditto Lantana on the size comparison US 8 = AUS 12. I think it probably started with 'feel good' sizing and then got out of control. Happening here a bit now don't you think? A

For sure, it's happening here. It's a damnable nuisance really, especially when one cant get to B&M stores to try things on.

Deborah - I'm also happy to buy one and forward it to you. No idea what shipping would cost I bought based on Sara's measurements in her selling thread - the shoulder measurements were smaller than any of my jackets, so I did the shoulder+arm measurement (1/2 of the shoulder plus length of arm) and chose the closest to a jacket that I like the way it fits. I'll post pics when I get it, of course (I ordered a 10).

Amy thank you! I think shipping will be about $40 which I figure is still reasonable:). Can you let me know how yours is when it arrives and maybe I can forward you some measurements for comparison and take it from there:). I need to be sure of the fit otherwise I know I would be really disappointed going to so much trouble and not being able to wear it cos of the fit:(. Thank you. Can't wait to see yours on you.

Deborah, I ordered a size 12, my normal size. I will let you know how it fits. But, I think you should order soon if you want one. I think they will go fast. I will be more than happy to ship it to you. Pm me if you want that and I will send you my address.

ETA: Just noticed that the price is back up at $134 right now. Yesterday it was $134 and an hour later dropped to $29 though. So we can watch it like hawks

I totally caved this morning and ordered a 12 at the $29 price (wonder if it will go through since they've caught their mistake if it was one?), but am still not sure it wasn't sale goggles for me. When it comes If I decide it's not me I'd be happy to ship to you Deborah if the sizing is right.

I got a 14 but I am busty and normally more of a 16. I found the shoulders fit perfectly. The arms were a tad snug but loosened up quickly, the bust was generous and the waist a bit snug. Overall love it though! Wish I waited for $29 , oh well.

FYI: the size 14 measurements (measured flat)

pit to pit, 22" flat at the bust line
between shoulder seams across back: 15.5
center back length: 22"
sleeve length: 25.5"

There is a bit of stretch because of the fabric panels. I typically wear a 16 for the bust, so like everyone says it is generously sized!
