I need some advice. I have narrowed my glasses choice to these three. The pics don't show how pretty the sides of all these glasses are. Sorry about the close-ups!

Yes, I'd vote for the first ones, the roundier ones...they follow your brow line better...and make your face look happier to me !

I like the first pair best also. I think the second pair would look better if your eyes were more in the center of the frames. That can probably be adjusted though. I wouldn't rule them out. Very cute hair!

You have dark brown hair, brown skin and dark brown brows. The tortoise shell is also brown. It’s all so brown! What will happen when you wear brown? If you had red or blonde streaks in your hair, you’d break up the brown. So, I was wondering what a non-brown frame would look like. Or, a frame with brown AND another colour? Something that creates more of a contrast. Does that make sense?

Hee hee. Actually, I really liked the first pair of glasses (and love your haircut, too, Susan). But I can see Angie's point. Have you tried other colors, Susan? I think both of the pairs you're showing us are very flattering, but it's true that a different color might add a little more oomph (sp?) if you are open to that. But you've definitely got the size and shape of the frame right.

Susan, I just had to buy Specs this past week, and my local optical store carried a brand known as lafont. They have pretty awesome and funky frames, and there might be something up your alley with all of the fun colors and designs.

(I wouldn't suggest purchasing from this frames direct because the price they have listed is much, much, much more than I paid at the local business.)

You guys are great! I will do a quick look around this morning when I go back to the dr. to see if he has any contrasting colors. Otherwise I think I will go with the first pair and then see about getting some others in a few months. Thanks for your help!

You have beautiful eyes and the shape of the first pair do make for a happier look, like Judy said. I thought they were both good choices but ofcourse you'd want the happier look.
Also great advice for color Angie. I did think the brown was heavy looking but ofcourse couldn't figure out how to articulate that. Now I know that the brown needs to be broken up, it makes so much sense.
I also love that haircut on you Christie.
