Anna, I just read about your mishap on the other thread. I'm so sorry! And to have ruined your lovely shorts as well. I would definitely do as MsMary suggested in the other thread and see if your credit card co. has some kind of purchase protection. If that doesn't help, I would contact the retailer too and tell them what happened. They may be willing to take the shoes back, because they might figure that is better than risking a lawsuit.
But you certainly deserve another pair of shoes, even if don't feel like shopping today. You have already done your penance in advance with the clogs of doom. Dispensation granted.
