You're a hard to find size? I thought the fashion world was all about people your size!

Lovely! What about to book readings?mwould it work for that?

It's on Holt's website for $325 Cdn. If it's the same one - I didn't realize it was ponte ...

Where did you find it on the Holt's website, Lisa? Maybe I don't know how to use that site!

As for ponte, yeah, that gives me pause with the sleeveless. But I wonder what they mean.

And all that stuff about fashion being for small size people? Yeah, maybe if you are a model and get to try the samples. Otherwise, it's a myth. If you are a 4 or a 6, maybe it's easy. But for me, the rule is buy online, and BBQ (buy buy quick), or forget it. I just lost my size in the Vince crewneck sweater by waiting a fraction too long. It's okay -- that's a game I was willing to pay at the price -- but if you wear a small size you don't have the luxury of waiting for sales as a rule. Or they don't carry it at all. At my Bay, there is almost nothing in my size, ever.

I just have issues with its being sleeveless because of when and where to wear it. You can wear a jacket over it, but then that covers up the beautiful high neckline and shoulder line, which would look great on you. So it's not blue or black, it's do you have a warm (or active, e.g. dancing) venue for it? Blast air conditioning and all that.

Suz - I googled Rebecca Taylor Holts - and it brought me to this:http://www.rebeccataylor.com/y.....oltrenfrew

which I now realize is her shop-within-a-shop at the Yorkdale location. Regardless - shipping would be a lot cheaper - likely free.

Unfortunately that link is for a US page. I think Holts is coming up on a store locator page. When you change to CDN dollars it's $417 plus $34 shipping plus duty.

Yup. That's correct, Marilyn. I'm not buying it now; just stalking.

You could grab the blue one soon, and wait for the black to go on sale. (Yes, I think you need both!) This could be an idea for a whole new thread, you know: In Defense of the Impractical Dressy Item . . . Not too long ago I bought a Catherine Malandrino jacket---beautifully cut, and completely covered with tiny white sequins. It fits perfectly, and glitters discreetly, like snow. But almost immediately the guilty panic set in: Where would I wear it, and with what? What was I thinking? Answer: Who cares? And I was THINKING that I will look great in this jacket--somewhere, sometime. Meanwhile, it makes me smile every time I open the closet door.
