This was a fluke. Someone returned this 3.1 Phillip Lim and my SA wore it around the store yesterday for an hour because he loved it so much. It's seriously marked down (last season?). I have a totally irrational love for it even though it is oversized and seems to obscure my shape. The leather/suede smells wonderful, and I adore the patina-like finish and the metallic blue patch. This vest immediately reminded me of some of my artwork, and my SA agreed (he's familiar with my work).

I would style it very simply. Straight slim black trousers or jeans, dark boots, and something simple like this black turtleneck.

It's a wild card for sure. It's outside of my usual silhouette, yet somehow feels like me. I know not everyone will "get it" (my SA said not everyone he works with gets it!) but that's ok. I think it's unusual and "arty" enough that it almost defies trend.

Brutal honesty. What do you think? It's a very good deal for a designer piece, but it still isn't cheap!
