Well, Anna and Mo and IronKurtin signed off with an explanation, which helped... and while I miss them, at least I know why they aren't here. I guess it's the way of the internet that we can't always know whether people are okay and just busy, or have moved on, or something else. Sigh.

I have probably 'disappeared' from time to time without explanation. Sometimes life gets suddenly busy. I'm an inconsistent contributor, though, so I assumed that probably nobody notices when I'm scarce, which is why I don't always sign off. But maybe I should?

Retirement has been keeping me super busy, and I'm guilty of just lurking sometimes when life is crazy. I'm in Paris right now- how's that for an excuse?
