It occurs to me that the convertible item that works best for me is a bag that can be worn different ways — crossbody/clutch, shoulder/hand bag, etc.

I saw a shop with these bags in NYC last week and was kind of smitten. Unfortunately I saw it on my last morning there, and the shop wasn’t opening until around the time I needed to be in another part of town to head home. Otherwise, I might have had to buy one of these! I love the origami-inspired concept, and the shapes are by turns fun or practical. I’m quite curious. They remind me a bit of the Bao Bao bags by Issey Miyake.
