When we first moved to the SF Bay area in 1982 the family spent many weekends in the City itself, exploring and shopping. I liked walking around Union Square with the great stores and wonderful people watching. We saw a lot of older women dressed to the nines in those days, and animal prints were far more popular with the mature women than the younger ones. I used to tell my family that I planned on being one great old lady. I thought animal prints were definitely for old ladies. I think I bought my first one in '89 when I felt mature enough. Not really--I bought some cute stuff.

So here I am, decades later, accumulating animal prints.

I bought some new cotton scarves from Macy's a few weeks ago. They are high contrast, which I wouldn't normally wear. However these two caught my eye. My dermatologist insists I either stay indoors or else wear a scarf to cover a bare neck and shoulder. I also find that when the a/c is on I get chilly when I'm sitting and I like to have a scarf.

On to animal print experiment:

#1 my NAS Kendra Scott silver earrings and my Marco Becego brushed gold ones that I bought many years ago and have worn a lot. I wanted something similar in silver.

#2 my new scarves. Oops, one is an animal print.

#3 the ensemble with scarf, with my old MB earrings.

#4 my computer glasses which you can see are . . .

Just playing around, having some fun. Not as elegant as the 80's SF ladies.
