Our summer here is dragging on and on. I thought we were getting cooler weather a little while ago, but that only lasted a day or so, and now we are back to, not heatwave, but pretty hot (around 21-34 C or 70-90 F).
I am starting to think of what wardrobe holes will need to be fixed next summer. I have hardly invested in summer clothing apart from from work wear for some years and it is beginning to show, so these aren't style related as such.
1. Absolute priority - new flat sandals. Mine were bought in Jan 12 and are looking very shabby
2. Moderately heeled sandals - my cobalt ones that have featured in so many recent WIW's are not very durable.
3 A lightweight flippy skirt - I actually bought one yesterday on sale - this is to cope with the heat
4. Shorts in some sort of lightweight non crushy fabric. I don't look good in shorts and got rid of all I had except for one knee length suit ish pair that is too hot for the hottest days.
5 Another "home dress" - short, lightweight, possibly spagetti string strapped, passing the modesty requirements of my daughterss (!) and not needing ironing
6 An update of my tee shirts and tanks (none bought since 2012)
What about you?
