Southern Hemisphere friends: Your wardrobe plans for Spring/Summer?

I am thinking lots of black (suprise) and a lot of simplicity with edge. I have purchsed a few things with spring / summer in mind and they black, modern silhouettes, draping and a little avant garde in the sylings.

I am lusting after the complexgeometries long strap tank dress (1) and also their junction dress (2) (as worn by Odyssey), as these would epitomise what I want in a dress for summer - and they can be worn multiple ways. I have managed to get my hands on a long strap tank top and the dress is currenlty listed on ebay but the coffers are a bit empty

I have your first look pinned as well but thereafter you tend towards a more arty look. I can so see you in neutral linen lagenlook, Hil. Go for it!
I've purchased a few S/S items already and three of them are striped as I am looking for a little more drama to my "modern classic".
I will be wearing white cigarette pants as a change up from my tired old bootcuts. They are a bit squeezy at the mo but I plan to ease the squeeze over the next 6weeks.
(That's the plan.)
I have a couple of pairs of slouchy pants but very little to pair them with so I'd love a few of those lovely drapey tops the northerners have been sporting all summer.
I covet a pair of nude cage sandals- I've seen lots of these on the forum.
And I will buy a new hat for summer, something with an enormous brim like the one Shevia posted recently.
I will not be buying any tee shirts!
I'm having a lot of fun planning and I think you can tell I am drawing heavily on my YLF lessons.

Thanks for asking Hil. You are trending rather neutral and drapy and Deborah even drapier.
I need to stock up on summer sandals as I did a big cull of worn out ones before I packed and moved.
I'd like to buy a dress for high summer. Am pretty keen on trying to get one from an ethical fashion source since I have done so badly in trying to buy that way but I did come across lots of floaty sundresses. I'd like a lightweight woven tank. Am very attracted by the striped tube skirt look though not sure if it will be either flattering or great in the hotter weather.

I don't need much (note the word need) but I am looking for a couple of linen dresses to wear when it is too hot to wear anything else. I know I don't want black & I already have a white dress. Other than that I need an everyday summer bag & some long shorts & will probably buy some shoes/sandals to update things a little.

I am holding off as long as possible, I know once it gets here it lasts for sooo long and I am sick of it by December. But I think to make it more bearable I do want more breezy shirts and silk tees.

Already have a new drapy linen top from Zara.
I am thinking about a hi/lo sleeveless dress for the hottest days, but might even try dying my current one and having the hem altered rather than replacing.

And it was so nice of you to send that skirt to Anne.
Hil I was thinking about how happy I have been with this winter's wardrobe. I have been as warm and comfortable and stylish as I wanted to be, every day. That is quite an achievement and it's what I am working towards for S&S.
It's the hellish days that are going to be the real challenge.

I'm holding off too having cut my wardrobe by at least 50 percent since joining YLF and I have replaced about ten percent of volume. My actual wardrobe is a sight to behold. I enjoy it again every day.
So, I have only kept the very best of my Summer clothes and I will start to build from there with a PLAN. Having just taken a four months off full time work I am glad summer is cheaper to furnish!
I love your overall theme of neutrals and drape and volume and movement.
I think I will be adding more drape to my more structured signature winter style. You have a very different palette between your seasons. Roll on Summer. Still two months really before its gets hot here but Spring is fantastic.

Lantana- I can't see it online, but it has a boat-neckline at the front and a V at the back that dips to just above the bra strap.
It is 100% linen, and comes in cream, orange, blue, green amongst other colours. Has a hi/lo hemline and elbow length sleeve. $39.99
