I'm not impressed. Basically tweaked versions of the Manolos you wore on Sex and the City. I just, well expected more.

Yes the lace booties are the only cool thing in the lot. There are several standard classic pumps, which you can get, made from leather, for $40 at TJ Maxx. I'm sure these are better made, but overall I would have expected more of an edgy Patricia Field influence.

I rather like the Carrie, actually, and the Brigitte... but not for the $. Agree that they are not particularly original, though.

I am there now and just saw the range in person. Not wowed. I was expecting something a lot more exclusive. And when your expectation is high - you are always disappointed unfortunately.

Kenneth Cole brought out some Givenchy Oxford sneaker copies that are gorgeous and will make my round up next week. So comfy too. I'm on my phone so can't link to them.

My feet hurt looking at them--you certainly couldn't pound the streets of NYC very long in those heels!

Totally agree.
While I like some of the ladylike sandals here for dresses, there's nothing special about these versions!
Did like the booties quite a bit -- but they stood out like a sore thumb. They are the starting point for the collection she should have designed, IMO.

Hmmm… not much to get excited about here. The lace-up booties are cool, and I rather like the Wallace sandals (in animal print). Nothing else really grabs me.

SJP is not a shoe designer. Her shoe collection was probably designed by a marketing team. Very few celebrity brands ever achieve greatness.

I like the trench coat too. I love the idea of trench coats with super-full skirts, but don't see them often.

But most of those shoes just seem like generic high heels you could get for a lot less. For that price point, it would have to be seriously amazing to outweigh the cheesy factor of buying something tied into a show I only kind of liked a decade ago.

Unfortunately it says quite a lot when this diverse of a crowd is underwhelmed. I think that it would speak higher for the collection if a number of people had strong negative reactions. But a collective "meh"? Yikes.

Funny thing I saw the collection in person at the downtown Seattle flagship Nordstrom today. It had special pink girly display cases. There was more than one women trying them on. The pink boxes were very distinctive. So there is an audience.
That being said I have been consistently underwhelmed by the Nordstrom salon shoes as of late. I've had much better luck at Barneys, Totokaelo and Lambs Ear Shoes. But I have very picky shoe tastes.
I did see the Kenneth Cole sneakers Angie mentioned, very cute. Unfortunately Kenneth Cole has never worked for my feet.
