Packing for a short trip, and I have a closet full of untested clothes.

I think I've discovered that Empire waists don't suit me. Am I right?

I like the dress on you, Ann, but it looks a little clingy in the midsection, probably because of the material. Different shapeware underneath might help?

I don't see any issue with the empire waist. It looks to me like the hem is drooping lower on one side. Is that a trick of how you're standing? If the dress was even all around at the same length as the "shorter" side, I would like it more.

I don't see a problem with the empire waist. I suspect the fabric is sticking somehow - maybe to your underlayer? Perhaps a slip will help here? It looks like an easy dress to travel in which is so important.

I love the empire style on you, and the ease of this dress is perfect for travel. I always wear a light shaping cami with a built in underwire bra under things like this - works like a charm, and I have a lot more to "work on" than you do!

I am not sure if it is the empire waist but this dress fails to flatter you. I think that you can do better!

I agree that it isn't the empire waist, but rather this particular dress. It does seem to be a little too clingly in the middle (I have the same issue a lot of the time), and that could be magnified if you are wearing something under it. If it were just slightly bigger or if it slid easily over whatever is under it, it would be very flattering.
