Angie, those are BEAUTIFUL boots - actually far more stylish than the NAS ones this season! And you were rocking the white footwear even then. They look amazing on you. I can only hope that these suit my wardrobe and are comfortable enough to wear.
Heels are very tricky for me now. Sometimes I can wear up to a 3-1/2" heel without any issues whatsoever, but a lot of the time I can't. I need to be really picky about heels, and be honest with myself about what I will actually wear. I went on a ballet flat kick over the summer and am loving them, so at least I'll have those to fall back on if these don't work, though ballet flats won't carry me through the winter.
And yes, "skinny" jeans were different then. I remember I had a pair that zipped at the ankle, likely because they didn't have enough stretch not to. But even then, they weren't the calf-sucking sausage casings I find many of them to be now. They work really well for very slim legs, but I have athletic calves, which make today's skinny jeans too much like leggings for my comfort!
