Our Rack is sadly going downhill (they have removed the designer section and designer shoes) and I worry it will close. (Our JCrew was downgraded from a regular retail to a Mercantile a couple of years ago.) There are lots of women in this area that really don't care about having the latest fashions - that's a fact, not a judgement. I'm doing the Rack only online now.

Vivian, our closest Rack is not amazing in terms of selection either. The one near the remaining Nordstrom in Columbia is pretty good. I haven’t been up to Towson in two years, and I’m kind of curious to go see what that’s like, since that was the area where I grew up and I’ve shopped that mall since I was very young. When I stopped working at the radio station, I no longer had good reason to drive up there (about 50 min away). Now I have a return to go back to Nordstrom and I think I’ll take a trip up there one day soon for the return, because my mail-in return from February only just a couple of days ago was credited to my account. That’s just ridiculous.

Thanks for the Rack chat; I used to love shopping there IRL, and would do big shops when work took me anywhere near a Rack in a no sales tax state. The one near us also dropped the better brands, and I assumed they all had. I only recently have seen the better mix online. Maybe that’s just a pandemic thing?
