It's been cool here till recently. So on a recent Saturday, I said to myself, "If not now, when?" and pulled on the white turtleneck one more time, with light coloured chinos. (This is the quintessential Coastal Grandmother.) Worn on a rainy day, with tan trench coat and duck boots, to buy raspberry plants at a nearby farm.

Later in the day, changed to loafers for a grocery run. Trying to stick with a lighter theme, I pulled out the oxblood loafers. But, apparently, only one of them. Looking at my feet in the parking lot, the other foot was shod with the black loafer in the photo. Oops!

Today it finally got hot. This is the first wear of a thrifted Lands End striped
dress. It's a solid knit with beautiful seams -- I think I'll add a belt next time -- and it HAS POCKETS.
