So I have been wanting a clutch... but I just haven't found anything that I love... And now I see this and OMG I want it so badly... but I really need to reign in my finances after an expensive few weeks of birthdays and other things...

It's the last one, and it's in my cart and I haven't pressed pay. But it's so lovely - yes?

Is it practical for you though?
No strap, not much room inside- I am trying to help you think this through.
Then again if you feel it is THE clutch you can always start afresh next financial year and SYC til Spring begins.

Sigh... I've been searching and searching for a clutch... and this is the first that I have really fallen for... but what if I don't like a clutch at all - I have always used shoulder bags!

It is lovely but....lol....everything that Lyn said above. Also, maybe you could try a really inexpensive clutch to see how it plays with your lifestyle. I purchased one this season but it has an optional chain strap. I find that it cannot be used at all for day to day with my lifestyle and is only for weddings, parties and the like.

I have been trying to pass on the clutches. Saying I just dont see them being practical for me. I have been trying to be content watching fabbers rock them here So far... well I want one but dont have one so is that mixed results?

It's beautiful! And I love clutches. But... there will always be more clutches out there. Believe me. This isn't the last glorious bag you will ever see. Stick with SYC. You can do it!

Beware of that style though it has been trendy and looks sleek. The envelope style can be very unforgiving and won't close nicely over very much inside, either not at all or at best you lose the desired shape, though it depends on the construction & material of course. So I have sworn

My recommendation - get a very inexpensive clutch that does not hurt your budget. No, it is not The One, but you will see if you like it and will use it before you splurge for an amazing one!

I am a MOTG and I just can't justify a clutch. I need both hands for DD (and sometimes a third would be useful!). That, and I carry too much stuff around for her in my bag. Your lifestyle and needs may vary, but you won't know that until you try to pare down.

There will be another clutch IF you decide you indeed want one.

I did go without... but it took loads of self control, especially since I have shopped with that site before and they have my card details! I am going to keep hunting for a cheap(er) version just to try and see if I like the idea of a clutch. What I may even do, if I find the right bag, is buy a cheap shoulder bag and perform a renovation.

I searched for that particular bag designer and decided that one of their messenger style bags may definitely be on my buy list if it ever goes on the citymob flash sale again.

Hi Hil, I tend to use a shoulder bag too. I recently purchased a very cheap black clutch, just to try ...... I am using it much more than I expected
Benefits....I am not carting around a back breaking bag and it just slips into the side pocket of my work tote, easy to grab if I'm heading out to buy lunch.
I am now watching out for one of a better quality
