Some SYC plus .50 experiments

Outfit one is old, I wear it pretty frequently. I like the colors, comfort and unique style. I don't think it's super flattering but I still enjoy wearing it.

Outfit 2/3 is experimental. New tube skirt with lemon tied top. I also tried it as demo'd on blog with hairband. Not sure if either works but I thought for .50 cent I would give yellow a try as a change from all the blue.

Pic 4 I think I like. The sweater was an orphan but seems to work with skirt. I might need some booties to wear this in fall.

Pic 5 I am iffey on. I loved the pleione shirt when I first bought but now think it may just be too big. Maybe some very skinny jeans? Or should I get rid of this top? Shouldn't have bought a large.

Pic 6 and 7 is another 50 cent top that I of course love in teal. But the cut isn't looking good with this. Then I tried with a belt which feels very odd because I never belt. Any ideas for this? The nice thing about such low investments is I don't feel bad if I end up redonating.

Great skirt. I love when you buy something new and immediately come up with multiple ways to wear it. That means it definitely works in your wardrobe. I like #4 and #7 best. Something about the yellow top seems a little casual for that skirt, to me.

I think the teal top looks great both belted and unbelted. Belting is new to me, too, and I still struggle with it not quite feeling right, so I empathize with your "odd" feeling. The silhouette is lovely on you, though.

Nothing wrong with 1 to my eye. The tunic looks breezy and cool. I love your .50 experiments. I think all of the combos looks great but prefer the yellow top with the ties tucked and the teal top unbelted. I think the sweater will look great with booties too. Nice work!

What great .50 finds!

I really like the yellow top. It might be casual for this skirt, but I see no harm in that? Can you roll up the tube skirt and make it shorter? If so, the casual look will totally work.

I actually like the drapey look of #5 quite a bit. I don't think it's too big, but your phone is hiding the neckline, so I'm not completely sure. You'll need to click pictures with the phone moved to the left or right, so we can see the whole top.

Like the teal too too; I prefer it not belted.

Great skirt--looks so versatile! I love the teal top on you and the drapey blouse as well. But I especially love your sandals in #1 ( I think I have the same pair!)

I see why you like #1; something about the colour really suits you.
#2-3 look great as well. I have a slight preference for tucked ties in #3, but it's a great combo.
#4 seems like a good colour on you, and the skirt silhouette goes with it.
For #5, I think you're on the right track to try it with skinny jeans or clamdiggers.
#6-7: Teal is a great colour on you. I like #2 better since the volume is reigned in yet repeating (peplum effect with the belt). Perhaps try this shirt with other skirts/shorts/trousers, too? I bet you can come up with more combinations you like.
