Just posting the shoes I got. Are the boots too tall? I stuck a little tag in one of them to make the height clearer. If they're not too tall, I'll keep them for a week and see if they soften up a bit because right now they are too stiff. But if they are too tall, I'll just send them back. I feel like it's just wishful thinking on my part because they are so cute. Sigh.

The Nicole oxfords are fantastic. A little loose so I'm going to try a half size down, but they are dreamy in terms of looks and comfort. LOVE.

Oh, I like my tall boots at exactly that height! They don't hit behind your knee when you sit or bend down, do they? Then I would think they are venturing on too tall.

Maya I love the Nicole oxfords they look good on you. I don't think the boots look to tall but hard to tell with all black. Do you like where they hit on the leg? Are these the Miz Mooz Kaile (spelling). They have the Miz Mooz King http://www.infinityshoes.com/M.....um=leftnav that are 1/2 inch shorter if these are too high. I like the looks of the boots you bought if the fit is good.

I love the oxfords.

As for the boots, I don't think they look too tall but I wouldn't want them any taller. Are these the same Miz Mooz Kailia boots that I have in chestnut? If so, I'll tell you that after wearing them for a year, the leather hasn't softened significantly, if that's an issue for you. Love the way they look on you, but I'm definitely biased:)

Its hard to judge with the black Maya. I love the look of the oxfrods though. My peeve with boots is that they are never tall enough to be true knee highs (even my 20 hole docs, sigh), so I think as long as its not long enough to rub behind your knee when you sit down, its all good!! They look lovely from what I can see.

KILLER oxfords. See how fab they look sans socks! I just love the look of flat oxfords sans socks.

I wear mine with invisible socks, Angie. Perfect compromise.

Beth says the boots don't soften, so to that. They're going back and I'm not sure what I'm going to replace them with...

Tomorrow I'm going downtown to try the oxfords in a 6.5. Maybe I'll swing by Infinity shoes while I'm there...

Maybe I'll even wear my chestnut boots.

I am very curiious to see Taylor in a flat oxford!

Maya-The new boots are lovely, they height looks good to me. That's close if not the same height of the gray Cole Haans I purchased during NAS and I find that height quite comfy. I like the oxfords, great idea to wear socks you don't see.

The oxfords look fantastic! I like them sockless too!! Sounds like the boots are going back but they look OK from what I can tell.

Maya, try wearing the boots around the house for a while. I wore mine today, all day, and thought of you. If it's the ankles that concern you, they do soften a bit with wear. Where I've found no softening at all are the "shoe" parts of the boots. They're still very stiff there. I guess it depends on where you need the boots to give~
