Some of you are aware that my husband was diagnosed with incurable Stage IV colon cancer this past September. These have been some of the most difficult months of my life as he started chemotherapy and we faced the uncertain future, but today, we got the results of his first set of scans since treatment began.

It’s good news! There’s still a long road ahead, but the doctor has told us he’s had a remarkable response to the targeted therapy, one of the best they’ve ever seen, with significant reductions in all the areas with cancer and full resolution in a few of them.

This is the most hopeful I’ve felt in quite a while, and wow does it make the upcoming months of treatment feel just that much less heavy, knowing there’s progress.
