Two packages arrived, so here are some quick try-on pics. Sorry for photo quality. I only had a few minutes and the light isn't great here in the afternoons.
The Palmer sweater (pic 1) from Known Supply was a bit of a disappointment. The neckline seemed higher and smaller on me than in the product photo, and the color felt a little duller. It fits okay and would do the job, but it just didn't have the casual, slouchy aesthetic I was hoping for. On my "edgy, easy, elegant" descriptor, it pretty much only hits "easy."
I'm not sure what to do about the ribbed sweatshirt (pics 2-4) from Vetta. I LOVE it. The shape of it is interesting and it's cozy and comfortable to wear. It reverses from a v-neck to a scoop. HOWEVER, it doesn't really fill the bill in terms of being a good option to tug on while at a chilly beach. It's a bit thin and, as evidenced by photo 3, more or less impossible to layer over. I still might keep it because--did I mention I love it? (Also, while it might not work for a beach up north, it's pretty much perfect for morning beach walks in LA.)
Finally, bonus. I ordered this graphic tank (pics 5-6) from Known Supply and quite like it. The pics don't do justice to how nicely it hangs (look at how it flares out under the Palmer sweater in #1), the message makes me smile, and the cheeky split back is pretty fun.
Also of note: all these items shipped from local(ish) companies within 60 miles of my house!
