I ended up going to the outlet mall having no intention of buying anything and of course you find everything. Well almost.

# 1 and #2 -I've been looking for a trench coat for some time and when i tried this on, I really loved it. But then when I brought it home and took photos, it didn't look so flattering and dh didn't thought there was something off with it it. I think it was the flare around my middle. What do you think?

#3 and #4 - Ann Taylor had some great long pendants / necklaces I've been looking for and I bought these 2 items. I really like them and am keeping them.

#5 - #8 - This is my new black pencil skirt from Ann Taylor. It fits perfectly, hides all the trouble spots and hits me right at the knee where I like it. (Both tops are old and my newish Ralph Lauren bag)

Hi citygirldc, do not return that coat... send it to me Just kidding, i really like this coat. I like it open and I think it adds too much bulk when closed. The pendants are both stunning, I particularly like #3.

The skirt is lovely but I hope you don't mind me pointing out that it seems to be bunching/puckering around your tummy area. Could be that you top is not tucked smooth underneath? Its just that this would bother me as I feel it draws attention immediately to the tummy area.

Yes, my top was tucked in so that might be a problem plus it's that TOM. Yikes!! It's loose in the waist area though.

My trench also feels/looks too bulky when closed but i love it open and find if it is cold enough i want it closed i usually pick a warmer jacket/coat anyway.

OMG I love that top on 6 and that pencil is divine. Love your outfit on 7.
I am having such a tough time addressing fit lately that I will defer to the experts here on the trench.

I like trench! I also love the pendants and skirt! Great finds!! I always seem to find the best things, too, when I don't think I will find anything.

Can I just say how much I love that skirt on you, especially in pics 5 & 6! With regard to the trench, it does give that full skirt effect when closed and belted. Whether or not this is an issue depends on your personal figure flattery priorities. If you prefer not to add volume to the hip area, then this may not be the coat for you. However, if you like to play up your hip area, like I do, then it's fine and a very pretty trench : )

Wow. I LOVE the tipping for the contrast on that trench! It looks so good with your dark hair. I also love the shape of the collar for your style. If you can get over the fact that this trench is cut to be more voluminous, I say KEEP. It just isn't a fit & flare style, that's all. I find it quite ladylike.

Now, I almost passed out when I saw the first pics of the pencil skirt with that feminine top and framed bag! Gah! Do you look like Audrey Hepburn or WHAT??!!! You are absolutely gorgeous! Oh, and the skirt is nice too. In all seriousness, the pendants and skirt are all great, but you knew that!

ModGrl - the trench made my hips look wider than it appeared. Look at #1.

I do like the black details around the collar and it did look better unbuttoned. I'll try it on a few more times and see how it feels.

I'm totally in love with that trench! I love the tipping and I actually like the somewhat flared bottom - it gives it a more feminine touch than a typical trench coat. It looks like it fits you very well in the shoulders and arms.

The pencil skirt is DIVINE!

Great finds! The pencil skirt will be a real workhorse but looks like a thoroughbred! The volume of the trench doesn't bother me, but it appears to need a good pressing (wish they were better about steaming everything in the stores). Will it "muss" quickly? That would bother me. Love the contrast piping. Pendant necklaces are terrific!

I'll leave the trench question to those ladies who know about it. The colour combination is beautiful on you. The pendants are gorgeous and look so like you, especially the first one.

I adore that skirt on you. It looks lovely in both pics but the first is even more stunning than some things we see by designers, so much your own style.
