I received a few items today, while others have yet to ship.
Firstly, I got a couple pair of the Wit & Wisdom wide legged pants for my pear shaped kiddo, who was looking for a pair of work appropriate pants. I'd say it fits TTS. It does have a lot of stretch, so I'm sure some will size down, but it really depends on how people like their pants to fit.
I received the two pair of shoes that I ordered.
The Dolce Vita silver flat fits well. It's a bit of a pain to do up the double buckle, but I don't feel too squeezed across the forefoot. I've got a medium width foot and a lower instep. The mary jane keeps me from slipping in the shoe. I am debating the silver or trying in the dark color. It's quite slick on the bottom of the shoe, so if I keep, I'll need to scuff them up a bit on the sole first.
The Charles David derby shoe is a fabulous and well made stompy shoe that calls to me. It is right up my alley, but it has the fatal flaw in that it slips a lot in the heel. An unacceptable amount. I don't think I can overcome it because often if I were to put an insert in, it would just raise my foot more and lead to further slipping.
The sheer top is a lot of fun and reminds me so much of a top I wore back in the 90s. It's a longer top, which is a nice change from all the short tops I'm seeing this year. I will need to outfit lab this top because I can see it being a bit of work to find the combinations that I like. It could tuck in well for others, though I'm not much into tucking in tops. I went with the larger of the sizes I'm between because of my broad shoulders. I won't chase the smaller size to compare because the sheer top lays without added volume in the size I got.
Also, I saw the Chico's sheer patterned top that Chris987 purchased, and I decided to lemming her. They were a bit low on sizes, so I ordered what may be a too large size. The smaller size came back into stock and I ordered it, but it hasn't arrived yet. What I like about this shorter length is that I can see it being a flattering length with many of the skirts I wear. I can also see wearing it over a tank dress I own.
I am not sure I need to go from zero to two sheer black tops, so I may decide between the two black tops for which I'd get more use out of.
I have a few more tops arriving at some point.
I welcome your feedback.
It's a shame about the Charles David shoes because I LOVE the way they look. Also, I personally like the way the black shoes look compared to silver with the all black outfits. Usually with black I will wear black shoes or tan shoes that elongate. I would likely wear silver shoes more with some of my lighter colored dresses.
ETA: I received 2 Eileen Fisher tees. Both are a substantial tencel knit material that feel like good quality. The short sleeve tee, I ordered 2 sizes, and the smaller one is the one that fits best. I didn't even take the other out of the packaging. Love the color. It's a bit shorter than the long sleeve top, and it's a beautiful color. Will work well for me with either skirts or pants. Definitely a boxy fit, which works for me if at the right length. The other is long sleeved and I just ordered it in the larger size I'm between (which is what I typically take in EF). It's fine. It's a bit longer, and the length makes it boxy in not a great way. It's too expensive for just ok, so I'll be returning it. But it's a very pretty color and it's pretty clearly nice quality. I wear short sleeves way more than long sleeves, so this works for me. I'm just trying it on at night, and will give the short sleeve tee another try on to make sure because this brand is pricy for me.
