Some gorgeous outfits and style questions

I was browsing the autumn fashion shows and saved some pictures of outfits that I really love. From very different designers and styles. But they all have some common characteristics. A lot of structure, classic mixed with dramatic? No pattern - so kind of minimalist… I am by no means an expert, so maybe I am wrong on this. My point is that in a fantasy world where figure flattery or money do not exist, I would wear these in a heartbeat - so what does it say about personality and style type? Dramatic classic? Or am I completely wrong on this? Minimal or maximal? If you feel like it, please, help me analyze these outfits.

What stood out for you? Any outfits or shows you watched and loved? Please, share!

I feel you already dress like this, Katerina. Dressy, dramatic, luxe, trendy elements, yet classic... Gorgeous outfits!

Dramatic is what strikes me, and I agree with Synne that that’s how you dress.
I can admire these outfits for the drama, but when analysing, the only one of these I actually like is the first Elie Saab one with all the fringing. And that’s related to earlier threads (Suntiger’s one especially) about how much yin or yang is in outfits/bodies/faces. The outfit I like best has the most yin. As a short yin-dominant person, all these outfits would drown me so I don’t feel drawn to them.
You’re a tall, more yang person so maybe that’s partly why you do?

Modern classic/minimal, and very edited. Strong silhouettes.
Shapes and color statements matter more than patterns/clashes/froufrou.

Is that you by any chance?

I like Proenza Schouler, Malene Birger, Max Mara (though the Max Mara custom find below is from last year). And the Row (the unattainable of unattainables!) And Gabriella Hearst.

I would call it minimal - solid colors, tonal or minimal color combinations, controlled details. Minimal doesn’t mean neutral colors only. #4 and 9 are off the minimal style and I like them the least.
These are mostly statement pieces that could be easily combined with more classical garments or even jeans for every day wear.
I think you enjoy mixing statement pieces with classic and would be naturally drawn to these looks.
I watched many shoes (too much time on my hands!). Last favorite is F/W 21/22 Brunello Cucinelli. This is what I wear in my fantasy life

Classic with drama created by the exaggeration and/or unusual treatment of a single well chosen detail.

Personality type maybe, confident, decisive, likely to appreciate many traditional values but remodeled for the now. A long view thinker.

I agree that these garments look classic with a twist...an unexpected color like #2, #4 and #8; extra ornamentation like #3 (pleated pants, striped blazer), #4 ( scar), #5, (mix of light neutrals and texture), #6 ( movement by strips of fabric like fringe), #7 ( black trim on white), and #8 (embroidery).
You can wear any of these looks and look polished and stunning.

Definitely dramatic, and striking just like your style. The one outlier to me is #3. The silhouette is more chopped up (gamine style perhaps). If I could try one on I would start with #9.
One new to me show I really liked is Lutz Huelle. Thanks for reminding me to look back!

I had the same thought as the others, these are all so very you and absolutely amazing. My favourite, that had me swooning was #7 - that shirt and skirt ensemble is stunning and I was swooning over the amazing graphic white suite with black detail. In my dreams I would waft around in those. A shame I would be just working from home, but at least it would be in amazing style!

Oooh, thanks for sharing, I haven’t looked at any fall fashion yet so this is educational.

What jumps out at me is an emphasis on quality. Cuts are very structured. The materials all have a special haptic or textural quality. Nice!

I think Dramatic is definitely one of the right words. I don’t see these looks as Minimalist tho. They’re not baroque in visual complexity, there’s a certain slickness to them yes... but there’s still a lot going on. They really bring Annie Lennox and Grace Jones to my mind. They’re fierce!

I agree with everyone that they are very much “you” looks! I think they’re more maximalist than minimalist, because there is so much going on. But they vary, of course. The first one has slouch in the boots & gloves, big earrings and a statement necklace. On the second one, the gloves are much quieter, there’s no necklace, and the earrings, while they might be the very same ones, don’t stand out as much. I love the cream-colored one with the textured blouse. Seems to me like a maximalist take on monochromatic looks (or plain, as defined on the forum recently). The Ralph Lauren is pretending to be a plain & simple outfit, but when you start looking at the trim and belt and other details, you nickte that there’s a lot of details!
